Gareth Southgate to Remain as England Manager for Euro 2024

Gareth Southgate has made the final decision to remain as England manager until the conclusion of European Championships 2024.

England boss Gareth Southgate has finally made up his mind to remain as England’s manager. Southgate’s current deal expires in 2024 and he will now lead England to the next European Championships.

Initially, Southgate was considering his future following England’s World Cup quarter-final exit to France. He has now decided to stay on as the manager until the end of his contract.

Sky Sports reports that the Football Association has now confirmed that Southgate will remain as the manager. The report says a statement from FA CEO Mark Bulligham says “We are delighted to confirm that Gareth Southgate is continuing as England manager, and will lead our Euro 2024 campaign. Gareth and Steve Holland have always had our full support, and our planning for the Euros starts now.”

Southgate signed the deal which ends 2024 in November 2021. He led England to the World Cup semi-finals in Russia in 2018.
