Galatasaray’s efforts to sign Victor Osimhen permanently from Napoli is gaining momentum after securing a sponsor willing to cover 70% of the transfer fee.
According to Turkish outlet Milliyet, the Turkish champions, who are considering reducing the €75m fee to €70m due to the payments they have made, have met with two major companies operating in Turkey, one of which accepted the transfer fee in return for the club paying 30%.
The reports stated that Napoli wanted €25m in advance and the remaining amount in two installments, so the club is looking for resources. Galatasaray reportedly intensified their pursuit after Fenerbahçe expressed interest in the Nigerian striker through manager Jose Murinho.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a January move for the Napoli striker. The Blues made a bid to bring Osimhen to Stanford Bridge last summer, but he went on a loan to Galatasaray.
Since joining Galatasaray in September, Osimhen has been in good form, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in nine appearances.
