Cristiano Ronaldo scored on his return to Manchester United after his refusal to come on as a substitute last week, to seal a 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League on Thursday that secured a spot in the knockout round.

The victory, with goals from Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford and Christiano Ronaldo assured United’s place in the next round.

United manager, Erik Ten Hag brought Ronaldo back into the fold after being left out in the match against Chelsea for refusing to come on as a substitute in a 2-0 win over Tottenham last week.
