Garcia is replacing Luciano Spalletti as new head coach

Serie A champions, Napoli have appointed Rudi Garcia as their new head coach. The 59-year-old will be taking over from Luciano Spalletti who left his position after guiding Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.

@rudigarciaoff appointment was revealed on Thursday in an announcement by owner Aurelio De Laurentiis. “I have the pleasure of announcing that, after having met and attended him during the last 10 days, Mr. Rudi Garcia will be the new coach of Napoli”, said Aurelio De Laurentiis. “We wish him a warm welcome and the best of luck!” he added.

Garcia was sacked by Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, Saudi Arabia in April. “What a pleasure to be back in Italy” Garcia said on social media. “I am motivated and ambitious now like never before to continue to lift the colors of the Champions of Italy”, he added.
