The Calgary Police Service (CPS)’s Traffic Section is currently investigating a collision involving a young boy who was struck by a vehicle in the southwest community of Belmont.

According to a CPS News Release, “At about 7:40a, on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, a collision occurred at the intersection in an unmarked crosswalk when he was struck by a red 2020 Toyota Corolla, driven by a woman in her 30s, travelling westbound along 210 Avenue S.W.”

The boy was reportedly transported to the hospital in life-altering condition, where he remains in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle and a passenger were also transported to the hospital, but with minor injuries.
