OpenAI has unveiled the latest of its AI Image creator, DALL-E, with the release of DALL- E 3. Reports says the new version is aimed at understanding more details in text prompts, allowing users to create more accurate images.
DALL-E 3 will be available to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise customers in October via the API, said the company. “DALL-E 3 can translate nuanced requests into extremely detailed and accurate images”, the company said in a statement.
The latest version, according to the company, will have more safeguards such as limiting its ability to generate violent, adult or hateful content. The DALL-3 E will be able to decline requests that asks for images of a public figure by name, or those that ask for images in the style of a living artist. The DALL-E 3 will also not generate violent, adult, or hateful content.
“Modern text-to-image systems have a tendency to ignore words or descriptions, forcing users to learn prompt engineering. DALL-E 3 represents a leap forward in our ability to generate images that exactly adhere to the text you provide”, said OpenAI.
The company said “when prompted with an idea, ChatGPT will automatically generate tailored, detailed prompts for DALL-E 3 that bring your idea to life. If you like a particular image, but it’s not quite right, you can ask ChatGPT to make tweaks with just a few words.”
