Google has announced its top pick for the best apps of 2023, including Users’ Choice and several “Best for” categories. These apps were reportedly selected based on user reviews, app usage data and editor feedback.
According to Google, ChatGPT takes the Users’ Choice App award, while the “Best Overall App of 2023 is “Imprint: Learn Visually”. Google said “as our best app of 2023, Imprint: Learn Visually shares bite-sized lessons that use visual storytelling to bring concepts to life.”
Google Play names Spotify as the “Best Multi-Device App.” Meanwhile, for the “Best for”, categories, Google names WhatsApp Messenger as “Best for Watches”, with honorable mentions of AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run and Audible: Audio Entertainment.
“Best for Tablets” category goes to Concepts: Sketch, Note, Draw, which is a powerful drawing and sketching tool that allows users to create a variety of illustrations and designs. Honorable mentions in this category is Canva: Design, Photo & Video as well as Everand: Ebooks and audiobooks.
For Chromebooks, the winner is FlipaClip: Create 2D Animation. Honorable mentions: Evernote – Note Organizer and Wideo. Best Google TV app goes to Max: Stream HBO, TV & Movies, with honorable mentions of Amazon Prime Video, Crunchyroll, Disney+, Tubi: Movies & Live TV.
The “Best for Cars” was Amazon Prime Video. Honorable mention in this category is Beach Buggy Racing and Spotify.
