Apple has released the iOS 17.1, the latest updates for its iPhone operating system. This comes a month after Apple released it iOS 17 updates.

The latest version, is now available to download and comes with a host of new features including changes to the AirDrop and StandBy features. iPhone users can now transfer photos and videos from their camera roll, even when they are out of the AirDrop range, so far they are connected to the internet.

Further improvements was added to the Apple Music, with favorites being expanded to include songs, albums and playlists. iOS 17.1 was updated with a new cover art collection, which offers designs that change colors to reflect the music in your playlist. Plus, the iOS 17.1 will display song suggestions at the bottom of every playlist.

The StandBy feature offers new control options for when the display turns off. This feature is available in iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models.

Furthermore, Apple has fixed a number of security and bug issues. Issues like battery life, performances, and keyboard responsiveness have been fixed with the update. It adds Home Key support for Matter locks and fixes security vulnerabilities.

The company also said the iOS 17.1 adds an option to choose a specific album to use with photo shuffle on the Lock Screen.

The new generation of iPhone models can update to ios 17.1 including the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max.
