Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel Crowned 71st Miss Universe

Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel takes home the much coveted Miss Universe crown.

R’Bonney Gabriel from the United States has been crowned the Miss Universe at the 71st annual competition on Saturday Night. Ms. Gabriel was crowned by Miss Universe 2021, India’s Harnaaz Sandhu.

The second-runner up was Andreina Martinez of Dominican Republic and First Runner-up was Amanda Dudamel of Venezuela.

Ms. Gabriel is the first Filipino-American to win Miss USA. According to her official bio, Gabriel is an eco-friendly fashion designer, model and sewing instructor. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design with a Minor in Fibers from the University of North Texas.

She says her “mission is for women and young girls to see themselves in her, and feel inspired to conquer their goals by owning who they are.”

Miss South Africa Ndavi Nokeri made it to the final top 16. The next edition of the Miss Universe Pageant will be hosted in El Salvador.
