Chantou Kwamboka Crowned Miss World Kenya 2022

Chantou Kwamboka is the new Miss World Kenya for the year 2022/2023

Chantou Kwamboka was crowned as the new Miss World Kenya at the Two Rivers Mall on Dec.10, 2022. She succeeds Sharon Obara, Miss World Kenya, 2021.

The beauty queen was crowned by the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts, Ababu Namwamba. The first runner up was Faith Wanjiku Kariuki while the Second runner up was Wabaiya Kariuki.

Miss World Kenya was celebrating its 50th annual competition this year.

On celebrating her win, Ms. Kwamboka penned down her heart felt happiness on Social Media “Last night was one for the books! I still haven’t soaked it in all yet. I’m happy, blessed, grateful, and highly favored. I smile, cry and laugh all at the same time. This is truly a dream come true.”

She continued, “I am completely grateful for how this journey has unfolded. For the overwhelming love and support, I will forever be indebted. We dream, God aligns for sure. I am honored to be your new Queen. May God bless and oversee this new chapter.”

Speaking on resuming her duties as the new Miss World Kenya, she wrote “…with great power comes great responsibility… As I start this new reign, I’m committing to my society, my organization, my country and the world to be of service ad to truly make our planet better than it is. As a torchbearer, may the Almighty better equip me with the tools I need to make a successful reign. God bless Kenya, God bless Africa, God bless the World.”

The Miss World Kenya 2022, also came with KSh 500,000 for Ms. Kwamboka and an additional KSh250, 000 from one of the key partners, Ashleys.
