Parlement technologies, the parent company of social media app, Parler, said that it has reached an agreement with rapper, Kanye West now known as Ye, to sell the app. The company said the deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
In a statement, Ye said “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves”.
The rapper’s Instagram and Twitter accounts were restricted earlier this month when his posts which were described as anti-Semitic were removed.
