Shoe brand Skechers reportedly escorted Ye from its corporate offices in Los Angeles after he showed up “unannounced and uninvited”. The company said it was no longer interested in working with the rapper and designer following anti-Semitic comments.
In a statement, Skechers revealed that Ye turned up at one of its offices with a party and was “engaged in unauthorized filming”. Ye was then ejected from the building after a “brief conversation”.
The statement said, “we condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech. We again stress that West showed up unannounced and uninvited”.
In the past month, the rapper has been experiencing backlash following his anti-Semitic statement. He lost his partnership with Adidas and this has also affected his place on the Forbes magazine’s list of billionaires.
