Inter Milan Re-claim Serie A Top Spot With Win Over Udinese

Inter Milan @fc_inter_milano.1908 has returned to the top of the Serie A with 4-0 victory over Udinese @udinesecalcio on Saturday. Juventus had momentarily dethroned Inter with a win over Napoli on Friday night, but they have now reclaimed the top spot with their 12th victory in 15 league games this season.

On Saturday evening at San Siro, Hakan Calhanoglu @hakancalhanoglu, Federico Dimarco@federicodimarco, and Marcus Thuram @thuram all netted their own goals in the first half, and Lautaro Martinez @lautaromartinez added his 14th league goal of the season later in the match.

The win brings Inter Milan two points above Juventus and a nine-point gap from third-placed AC Milan.

During the match, Inter held majority of the possession, and the score was kept at 0-0 until past the half-hour mark. Calhanoglu scored the first goal of the match from the penalty spot, following a lengthy video assistant referee (VAR) check.

Meanwhile, Udinese remain just a point above the relegation zone.
