Google Officially Announces October 4 Launch Date for Pixel 8 Series

Google has made the official announcement for its Pixel 8 series launch date, set for October 4th. The event will be in New York at an in-person event, few weeks after Apple’s event.

The company reportedly sent out invitations to the media and other for the event, which will start at 10 AM ET.

Earlier this week, the Pixel 8 pro image was leaked on the Google Store website, revealing the upcoming devices’ specifications. The device is rumored to have a 6.7-inch Hz QHD + LTPO OLED screen, 12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a Tensor G3 processor, a 5,100 mAh battery and a 64MP triple camera setup.

Reports says Google is likely to also announce the Pixel 8 and the Pixel Watch 2. Google also posted an advertisement on all its social media, featuring the pixel and iPhone having a “spa day”. It’s captioned “Big fall launches are stressful, but Pixel helps its friend stay cool as a cucumber.”

“The w8 is almost over. Rest up for #MadeByGoogle on October 4th”, Google added.
