Everything You Need to Know About the New Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses

Meta Smart Glasses in collaboration with Ray-Ban were introduced on Wednesday and here is everything you need to know about the device.

The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses allows users to livestream videos to Facebook and Instagram hands-free. The smart glasses comes with a 12-megapixel camera sensor and an LED light, which also serves as a recording indicator. The device alerts others when recording.

The camera on the smart wearable device can be used to take photos with a resolution of 3, 024 x 4, 032 pixels and 1080p videos of up to 60 seconds. The device is prompted with “Hey Meta” to enable the handsfree function.

According to Meta, the dual open-ear speakers in the smart glasses offer less audio leakage and is said to bring up to 50 percent more sound, deeper bass and more clarity.

For the design, there are over 150 different custom frames and lens design combinations. There’s also a transparent option for the frames. The device is powered by the new Qulacomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform SoC and offers 32GB of inbuilt storage.

The Ray-Ban Meta Sunglasses has up to 36 hours of battery life with the charging case, which means four hours of battery life and an additional 32 hours with the charging case.

The Ray-Ban Meta Sunglasses are currently available for pre-orders in 15 countries, including Canada, Australia, Ireland, Italy, France and United States.
