Samsung Galaxy S24 series was launched on Wednesday, January 17 during the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event with upgraded cameras and new AI photo-editing features.
The Galaxy S24 series has the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the most expensive smartphone from the company in 2024 and it comes with a range of improvements, changes and updates.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the first smartphone from the company to feature a Titanium build. The smartphone has a quad camera setup, comprising a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 10-megapixel camera.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is launched in four colors, Titanium Black, Titanium Violet, Titanium Gray and Titanium Yellow. The smartphone’s display will light up to a brighter 2,600 nits, with 6.8-inch 1440x3088px 1-120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ panel.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ have an identical triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.
All three smartphones have a 12-megapixel selfie sensor. According to Samsung, the Galaxy S24 series will have 7 generations of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates. The series is packed with both local and cloud-based AI features. They are all powered by Google’s Gemini foundational models that run on-device.
The smartphones will support Live Translate, allowing for private, real-time two-way translations during phone calls within the native app, without the need for a third-party app. Also, the phones come with Chat Assist, which helps perfect conversational tone.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is available for pre-booking in India starting January 18. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is priced at Rs. 1,299,999, while the Galaxy S24 is priced at Rs. 79,999. The Galaxy S24+ starts at Rs.99,999.
