Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk @usykaa retains his world heavyweight titles with a ninth-round knockout of Britain’s Daniel Dubois @dynamite_daniel_dubois in Wroclaw, Poland.
As a result of this victory, Usyk retains his World Boxing Association, World Boxing Organisation, and international Boxing Federation Heavyweight belts.
Dubois landed a right hook in the fifth round, which was later ruled as a low blow by referee Luis Pabon and Dubois was given five minutes to recover. However, Usyk, 36, recovered to drop Dubois, 25, down on one knee in the eighth round.
Usyk seized the moment and shone again, knocking Dubois out in the ninth round with a right hook to the face. The referee counted Dubois to 10, and stopped the fight with 48 seconds left on the clock. Dubois goes out to press with a bleeding nose and could barely stand on his feet.

“Boxing is a tough sport, but I’m big. I’m in love with boxing and the ring, but it’s boxing and not ballet. It’s boxing, a tough sport”, said Usyk.
This win has extended Usyk’s perfect professional record to 21 sins from 21 bouts.
