Paris Saint-Germain announced the signing of 20-year-olf French striker Bradley Barcola @bradley_dls from Ligue 1 rivals, Lyon for €45 million on Thursday.
Barcola signed a five-year contract, until June 2028, with the French champions. “I am very happy, it’s a proud moment for me to join such a big club”, Barcola said. “It is a club with a lot of ambition that plays in the big tournaments. I am going to give it my all.”
He added “It is a club that is playing in the top competitions and also often wins the league. And as I like to win, that motivated me. I always knew that it was a big club.”
Barcola will replace Brazillian superstar Neymar following his move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia earlier in the month.
Born in Villeurbane, Barcola joined Lyon’s academy in 2010 and made his professional debut in November 2021, providing assist in a 3-0 home win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League group stage.
Barcola will wear the number 29 shirt for PSG. He could make his debut with his new club ad PSG and Lyon meet in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
