Nigeria Ranked Among Top Five Nations in AFCON Tickets Purchase

 

According to the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), Nigeria is ranked among the top five nations in terms of tickets purchased ahead of the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast next year.

Data released by CAF on Thursday shows the Super Eagles of Nigeria as the fourth team to have sold most tickets at the African Cup of Nations which commences on January 11, 2024.

The host country, Ivory Coast, recorded the highest number, with a whopping 32, 307 tickets sold. In second place is Guinea-Bissau (28, 614), third place is Equatorial Guinea (16,237) and Senegal (10,959) as fifth place.

Nigeria, who is gunning for the fourth AFCON title, have sold 12, 544 tickets in total. Interestingly, all countries listed in the top five are all paired in Group A.

Top matches with tickets sold are Cote D’ivoire vs Guinea-Bissau, Cote D’ivoire vs Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea vs Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea vs Cote D’iviore and Mozambique vs Ghana, Senegal vs Cameroon and Guinea vs the Gambia, Egypt vs Ghana.
