Mbappe Returns for PSG as Substitute Against Toulouse

Kylian Mbappe  @k.mbappe has been reabsorbed into the Paris Saint-Germain team as he came on a substitute in the second half of Saturday’s Ligue 1 game at Toulouse.

PSG had initially planned to sell Mbappe before the summer transfer window closes after the French captain stated his desire to leave the club at the end of 2023/24 season.

The 24-year-old striker had not played for PSG since the first of the club’s pre-season friendlies on July 21, and had missed the 0-0 draw against Lorient last weekend in the first round of fixtures.

He was the substitute for South Korean Lee Kang-in in the 51^st minute of a 0-0 tie against Toulouse. He came off the bench to score a penalty for PSG, moving PSG to two points after two games.

PSG now sits eighth in the table, with Toulouse moving up to third. The match ended with a 1-1 draw.
