John Wick Director Says the Franchise Will Rest After Chapter 4

John Wick: Chapter 4 is about to hit the theaters on March 24 and a lot of people may be wondering if there would be a chapter 5 to the action thriller.

Well, Director Chad Stahelski has addressed this in a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, saying “In our minds, Keanu and I are done for the moment. We’re going to give John Wick a rest.”

“I’m sure the studio has a plan”, said Stahelski. “If everyone loves it and it goes kooky, then we’ll take a quiet minute.” He further went on to say if John Wick: Chapter 4 performs as expected and the press tour end in Japan, he and Reeves will sit down to envisage the future of the Franchise.

He said “Keanu and I will take the long trip to Tokyo, we sit in the Imperial Hotel Scotch Bar and go ‘What do you think?’ We’ll have a couple 20-year-old whiskies and write some ideas on napkins. If those ideas stick, maybe we’ll make a movie.”

Keanu Reeves will make a cameo in the Ballerina spinoff, starring Ana de Armas as Rooney, a dancer-turned-assassin.
