A dumbbell split-squat is a squat variation used to build strength and power in the legs and hips.
To do a dumbbell split-squat, you will first assume a split stance holding the dumbbell at your sides. Then, bend your knee to lower into a lunge until thigh is parallel to the ground. Keep the front knee bent and toes behind. Extend hip and knee to drive up to start position, repeat with the other leg.
