Two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua @anthonyjoshua has been offered a potential showdown with fellow Brit Daniel Dubois @dynamite_daniel_dubois
The Nigerian born British champion has fought twice this year and won the two bouts. Joshua won the bout with American boxer Jermaine Franklin in a unanimous decision on April 1.
Following that win, he defeated Robert Helenius, who ended up as a Dillian Whyte replacement at the London 02 Arena, in August. He won by KO in the seventh round.
The 33-year-old has been linked to a fight with Deontay Wilder but the fight is still not confirmed. However, Frank Warren, the agent of British boxer, Tyson Fury, has suggested that the Joshua take on Daniel Dubois.
Dubois, 26, recently fought Oleksandr Usyk and lost via knockout in the ninth round.
In an interview with IFLTV, Warren suggested that a fight between Joshua and Dubois would sell anywhere in the world. “I’ll tell you a good fight if that doesn’t happen”, said Warren on the clash between Joshua and Wilder.
“You know what would be a good fight in the UK and people would buy tickets to watch it, and we’ll see who is the biggest puncher and who has got the biggest heart? Him (Joshua) and Daniel Dubois.”
“That would sell out anywhere. You can’t say it’s not going to sell. It would sell. It’s a big fight”, said the boxing promoter.
