The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing child.
An 11-year-old identified as Luke Taypayosatum, was reportedly last seen by his family on October 29, 2023 at approximately 4pm, leaving his residence in the downtown core.
Both his family and the police have been unable to locate him. The police says, although they are yet to suspect any foul play, it is out character for Luke to be out of contact with his family for this long and they concerned for his welfare.
Luke is described as being 5’4” tall, approximately 150 pounds, with a heavy build, brown eyes, and black hair. The boy’s mother, Autumn Taypayosatum posted on Facebook after he has been missing for 10 hours. She wrote “My son Luke Taypayosatum has been missing for 10 hours now; it is 2:17 am. No winter jacket, no boots, no gloves no hat; he is in a sweater and pants with red converse shoes…”
She further posted, urging people to keep an eye out for Luke. “Forest Lawn Area; train lines; max purple; buses. Libraries, anywhere possible, we live downtown area. He needs to come home.”
The police have asked anyone with information about Luke’s whereabouts to contact the police at 403 266 1234 or drop anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
