The Calgary Police Service (CPS) are asking for the public’s help in their hunt for a suspect in a series of cannabis and liquor store robberies in various communities across Calgary.
According to a news release by CPS, the suspect is responsible for six robberies at a cannabis store and one in a liquor store, between Tuesday, July 30, 2024 to Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024.
“The suspect is believed to have entered several of the businesses, inquired about the products and fled with stolen items”, reads the statement. “In some instances, the suspect also threatened the store employees with a gun, demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money and stolen merchandise.”
Police described the suspect as a man, around 25 years old, between 5’9” and 5’11” tall, with a medium build. The suspect is believed to have worn various distinctive outfits during the robberies.
One of the outfits is described as a black cowboy hat with silver detail on the band, black mirrored sunglasses, a black windbreaker, black jeans, black Sketchers sneakers and was carrying a black backpack.
A black jacket with neon-yellow and white reflective material, black pants, a red and black toque, neon-yellow gloves, black mirrored sunglasses, black shoes and was carrying a black backpack.
In another robbery, he wore a black hooded jacket, black pants, black mirrored sunglasses, black shoes, and was carrying a black backpack. Also, he wore a blue zip-up hoodie, a white shirt, a black and white Calgary Flames baseball cap, beige pants, blue and white runner, and was carrying a black backpack.
Police is asking anyone with information about these incidents, or who knows the identity of the suspect, to call 403-266-1234 or drop anonymous tips on Crime Stoppers.
