The Calgary police service (CPS) were called on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024 to the Nose Creek Pathway located near the 1100 block of 32 Avenue N.E., for reports that a passerby had located a woman who was believed to be in medical distress.

“We still have many questions surrounding Jelisa’s activity leading up to her discovery”, says Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson of CPS. “We are hoping to gain answers following the autopsy, which may shed some light on the injuries she sustained and what caused her death. We are looking for any information from friends, or people who may have had contact with Jelisa on the night of Sunday, Dec. 8, or the morning of Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.”
