The Calgary Police said two women have been hospitalized following a fight that broke out at a CTrain line Tuesday evening, reports CTV News.
The police were reportedly called to the Lions Park LRT station, near North Hill Shopping Centre at around 8 p.m., for reports of fighting. Police said a woman, about 30 – 40 years old, was stabbed with a sharp object and was left with head and abdomen injuries.
According to CTV News, the woman was taken by EMS to Foothills hospital in life-threatening condition. Another woman, of about the same age, was taken to Peter Lougheed Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
Three suspects were taken into custody, reports Global News. Police are still going over CCTV footage at the platform, to determine what charges will be laid.
The Lions Park LRT Station remained closed into the evening as investigations continued. Shuttle busses were provided at Sunnyside station.
