Reports says a series of air strikes by Russia against cities in Ukraine in the early hours of Friday, has led to the death of twelve people including children.
According to AP News, Russia fired more than 20 cruise missiles and two drones at Ukraine. Report says ten people were killed in the central city of Uman, including two 10-year-olds. In the city of Dnipro, a woman and her 3-year-old daughter were killed.
In a Telegram post, the Ukraine Air Force said twenty-one out of twenty-three missiles and two drones were intercepted. The head of the Kyiv city military administration said it was the first Russian missile attack on the capital in 51 days, reports BBC.
Although Russia has denied deliberately targeting civilians, people continue to die and get injured in the strikes. AP News reports says the Ukrainian national police said 17 people were wounded and three children were rescued from the rubble.
