Elon Musk @elonmusk announced on Sunday that the “cage match” planned with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg @zuck will be broadcast live on his platform, X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Zuck v Musk fught will be livestreamed on X”, Musk wrote. “All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.” No further details about the fight was given. However, Musk said in a different post on X that he was “lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight. Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work”
Replying Musk, Zuckerberg wrote on Threads with a screenshot of his tweet “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?” Also replying to Musk lifting weights, Zuckerberg said “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”
Months earlier, Musk had posted to challenge Zuckerberg. He wrote “I’m up for a cage match if he is. Lol.” Zuckerberg responded to the challenge by taking a screenshot of the tweet and responding on Instagram stories, “Send me location.”
Although no date have been chosen for the fight, it is expected to take place in Las Vegas.
