George Ezra cancelled his show at London 02 Arena on Tuesday due to an acute vertigo diagnosis.

A statement posted on the singer-songwriter’s twitter page on Tuesday reads “hi everyone, unfortunately George has started feeling incredibly unwell this afternoon. He’s been diagnosed by a doctor as having acute vertigo and as a result we sincerely regret to announce that tonight’s show at the 02 in London will not be able to go ahead as planned.”

The 29-year-old English singer and guitarist was forced to cancel the show last minute. Ezra’s Gold Rush Kid tour began last month, and he already performed in Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin, Killarney and London.

A follow up statement was released shortly after to say that the tickets for the cancelled show will remain valid, but a new date has not yet been revealed. “Ticket holders, all tickets remain valid and please bear with us as we reschedule the show. We’re very sorry for everyone who has travelled for tonight.”

Vertigo is the feeling of spinning, even when you’re not moving. It is often caused by a problem with the inner ear or problems with certain parts of the brain. It makes whoever has been diagnosed feel dizzy and off-balance. Vertigo is a symptom, rather than a condition.

Ezra has upcoming shows in Leeds and across Europe, it is however unclear if he will performing at the shows.
