Burundi’s beauty queen and the country’s representative in the ongoing Miss University Africa Burundi 2022, Queen Marvella Niteka, has won the Africa’s Next Supermodel of 2022.
Africa’s Next Supermodel is an African significant modeling competition, reality television show, that documents a competition in which aspiring models compete for the title of Africa’s Next Top Model and a chance to start a career in the modeling industry.
The show is focused on young African men and women with talent in the modeling industry and turning them into world class professional supermodels. This year’s event started at around 4:00pm, with DJ Sonia giving nice music vibes and the runway started by 5:30pm with catwalks showcasing amazing designs from the best of Africa’s designers, as reported by The New Times.
The winner was announced from the five finalists from Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan and Burundi. Speaking to The New times, Niteka said that she was confident before joining, but after joining she had her doubts when she realized everyone was good.
“But I kept the courage and worked hard, the practices were really extreme and tiresome but I kept pushing hoping for better”, she told The New Times. She said she was excited to see her investment pay off, adding that this marks the beginning for her.
Niteka commended the team, saying that they were supportive and for that she is grateful, and that this gives her more courage to run for Miss University Burundi to take the flag as far as she can. Congratulations @nnmontse.
The event saw contestants from various African countries like Nigeria, South Sudan, Senegal, Burundi, Kenya, Morocco, Togo, Ethiopia, Cape Verde, and so on.
