CANADIANS SEEK AID FOR PAKISTAN FLOODING

Canadians who have ties with Pakistan urges fellow citizens to help flood victims.

Several canadian citizens who have affiliations with Canada seeks help for flood victims. Harjit Sajjan, a Canadian government official, says “Millions are being impacted by the devestating flooding in Pakistan. The world needs to support them” he further went on to commit $5 million funds to scale up humanitarian service and aid to affected victims.

Hundreds have died and unaccounted for. Pakistan and the UN have appealed for $160 million in emergency funding for victims. The flooding was reported to have been caused by an extraordinary monsoon season, and fueled by climate change.

This is a wakeup call to the world to stop walking towards the destruction of the planet, says UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres.
