Calgary Police Seeks Public Help to Locate Missing Man

The police says they have exhausted all “investigative avenues”

The Calgary Police Service are asking the public for their help in locating a missing man who has not been heard from for two weeks.

According to the CPS, 41-year-old Amir Hossin ANWARI was “reported missing by family when he did not arrive in Australia to meet family as planned.” The police says the missing man was believed to have driven from Calgary to Vancouver on Wednesday, Aug 9, 2023, with plans to fly to Australia on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023.

“Amir was last heard from on Tuesday, Aug 8, 2023 and his family and police are concerned for his well”, said a statement by CPS.

The police says they have exhausted all “investigative avenues to locate Amir and are now turning to the public for their help.” Amir is described as 5’6” tall, approximately 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

The police have asked anyone with information to call the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234 or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.
