Calgary Police Identifies Redstone Homicide Victim

The Calgary Police Service (CPS), have ruled a suspicious death that occurred in Redstone a homicide and the victim has been identified.

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, police responded to a home in the 100 block of Redstone Common N.E. at around 9:20am. A woman was reportedly in medical distress. Police said life-saving measures were not successful and the woman was pronounced dead on-site.

According to a news release by the police, an autopsy was completed on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, by the office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the victim was identified as Manpreet Kaur, 25, of Calgary.

One man was taken into custody from the scene has since been released without charges, said the police. The investigation is still ongoing.

This case, according to the police, is the seventh homicide of 2024. The police are asking anyone with information about the incident, including anyone who knows the whereabouts of, or had contact with Manpreet in the days leading up to her death, to call 403-266-1234.
