The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing man who was reported missing from the southeast community of Auburn Bay.
According to a news release by CPS, Vasyl, 34, was last seen leaving his residence in the 400 block of Auburn Crest Way S.E. at around 11am on Tuesday, May, 21, 2024. “He was expected to visit the Calgary Transit Customer Service Centre, located at 234 Seventh Ave. S.W., but he did not attend”, said the release.
Police believe he may have been at the Fourth Street S.W. CTrain station approximately an hour after departing his residence. The report says Vasyl has limited familiarity with the Calgary area and only speaks Ukrainian and Russian.
“There is nothing to indicate foul play, however, his family and police are concerned for his well-being”, said CPS.
Vasyl is described as 5’9” tall, with a medium-heavy build. He was last seen wearing grey ankle-high boots, a black jacket, a green toque, and blue jeans or jogger-style pants.
Police are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call 403-266-1234 or drop anonymous tips on Crime Stoppers.
