A Calgary non-profit dedicated to helping vulnerable Calgarians with their pets has suffered a major damage to its foodbank.
The Parachutes for Pets, had a pipe explode in their ceiling on Tuesday, flooding its pet food bank. In a Facebook post, the charity organization said “On January 23, 2024, the warehouse where the Parachutes for Pets Food Bank is stored unfortunately suffered major water damage, affecting over $15,000 worth of pet food, including our storage or prescription and specialty foods.”
