ASUU Finally Suspends Eight Month old Strike

ASUU ends 8-month old strike at last.

The Academic Union of Staff (ASUU), has suspended its eight month old strike conditionally. The decision was taken at the National Executive Council (NEC), meeting in Abuja early today.

The meeting stretched from Thursday evening to Friday morning with all states and zonal branch executive members of the union present. The meeting according to the Union President, Emmanuel Osodeke, was to determine the next line of action after the court of Appeal ruling.

“Consequently, all members of ASUU are hereby directed to resume all services hitherto withdrawn with effect from 12:01 on Friday, 14th October 2022” He said.
