Tom Parker’s Widow Kelsey Burst into Tears as NTA played a Clip from his Cancer Documentary.

Kelsey Parker, Tom Parker’s widow, burst into tears at the National Television Awards as a clip from her late husband’s cancer documentary was played.

Kelsey couldn’t hold back her tears when the documentary “Inside my Head”, was played at the National Television Awards in Wembley Arena on Thursday night.

The documentary was posthumously nominated for the Best Authored Documentary Category at NTA.

Tom Parker passed away from stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer at the age of 33 on March 30. Inside my head was nominated alongside Julia Bradbury’s’ Breast Cancer and Me, Katie Prices’ What Harvey Did Next, Paddy, Christines McGuiness’ for Our Family and Autism, and Kate Garraway’s’ Caring for Derek. Caring for Derek won the award against others.

The footage showed Tom performing on stage with his The Wanted band mates for the last time. This was when the 32 year old burst into tears as the clip played on the screen.

Earlier, she had commented on her Instagram page that she was feeling emotional as the NTAs drew close. She said “…I think it’s just the build up to everything, and the day has come. Whether we do win or don’t win, I am so proud of how far we have come”.
