The government says the “distribution of the Omicron-targeted shot will begin on Sept. 21. Residents who have received a vaccine or booster will be eligible to receive the shot so long as it has been five months since their last dose”, says city news.

The Moderna’s Omicron vaccine was approved early this month in Canada. “The vaccine was intended to extend the durability if protection and help face the next waves”. Moderna was to deliver 12 million doses of the Omicron-targeted vaccine to Canada.

Report says the “vaccine will be available at pharmacies, community medical clinics and select AHS sites”. The government says the vaccine will be available to people within the age of 12 and 17 in late September or early October.

Bookings can be made through Alberta vaccine booking system website or by calling health link at 811.
