Nigeria’s Super Eagles will meet Angola in the next round of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Ademola Lookman’s goals, each from the two halves of the game, gave Nigeria the win over Cameroon in the Round of 16 fixture of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations. With the victory, Nigeria will now face Angola who won Namibia with 3-0, with Jacinto Dala involved in all three goals.

The match between Nigeria and Angola in the next round will take place at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan. So far, the Super Eagles remain undefeated in the tournament.

Lookman attributed the much celebrated victory against Cameroon to collective effort from the team. The 26-year-old who was named Man of the Match told the press conference that “We are so happy to qualify for the quarter-finals. We have an objective before the start of the competition. We have worked together as a team. Every player is ready to make a sacrifice for the team to succeed.”

“The more we play together, the more fluid we become. I’m standing here now but this award reflects the whole team’s performance”, he added.
