Calgary Police Investigates Suspicious Disappearance of Senior

The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the man, makes it suspicious says the police.

The Calgary Police Service are seeking the help of the public in locating a 71-year-old man who is missing under suspicious circumstances.

Reports by the CPS says Abdul Mufti, was last seen near his home “on, or about Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, near his residence in the 200 block of Falworth Way N.E”

Police say a search of his residence has led them to believe that the circumstances surrounding his disappearance is suspicious. They believe that the missing man’s credit cards have been used in and around Calgary and those transactions were not made by him.

“Because of these circumstances and this behavior being out of character for Abdul, police and family are concerned for his well-being”, said the CPS.

“Abdul is described as 5’10” tall, approximately 195 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.” Police urge anyone with information about the whereabouts of Abdul to contact them by calling 403-266-1234 or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers
