Thousands of people bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth II on Monday in a state funeral held for the longest reigning monarch. The funeral was attended by Presidents, Prime Ministers and Royals who have been invited. Crowd of mourners massed along the streets of London to honor the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The gun carriage carrying the Queen’s coffin was drawn by 142 Royal Navy sailors to Westminster Abbey, with King Charles III and the princes, William and Harry, walking behind the coffin as bagpipers played.
Pall bearers carried the coffin into the abbey where the funeral service was conducted. Afterwards, the coffin was carried out of the Abbey and transported through central London, then transferred to a hearse at Wellington Arch, near Buckingham palace.
Once loaded into the hearse, the queen’s coffin began its final journey to Windsor Castle, where she is to be laid to rest with her husband in the royal vault at a private family service.
