Social Media Platform X Restores Access After Reports of Global Outage

The X platform, formally known as Twitter, had experienced an outage as thousands of users could not access the platform. Users had been unable to tweet, retweet, or scroll through their timelines on the platform.

Downdetector, who tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including users, reports that over 80,000 users experienced the outage. The cause of the outage is not yet known and X has yet to provide updates on the situation.

However, at the time of this report, X appears to be functioning normally, with posts displaying on all feeds. Users are able to log in and “For You” and “Following” feeds shows perfectly.

Also, trending topics section that shows current trending hashtags in the same region as the user is working perfectly.

In the past, X has faced occasional outages, where there was some kind of error message visible to users.
