Singer Aaron Carter Dies at 34

American rapper, singer and actor, Aaron Carter was found dead in his bath at his home in Lancaster, California on Saturday morning.

Carter was the younger brother of Backstreet Boy’s Nick Carter. Representatives of his team said the cause of his death is still being investigated.

Alejandra Parra, a deputy with the LA county sheriff’s department told Aljazeera that they responded at around 11am to reports of a medical emergency at Carter’s home in Lancaster, California. Unfortunately, they found the deceased body of Carter in his bath and all resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

Colleagues in the entertainment industry have started paying tribute to Carter. Diane Warren tweeted “Fame at a young age is often more a curse than a blessing and surviving it is not easy. RIP Aaron Carter”.

US boyband, New kids on the Block tweeted, “we are shocked and saddened about the sudden passing of Aaron Carter. Sending prayers and to the Carter family. Rest in peace, Aaron”.

Ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff also paid her tribute to the late Carter. She tweeted “For Aaron- I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in-front of the whole world. You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent…boy did my teenage self love you deeply. Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy, with a love emoji”.
