South African dance Musa Motha stunned the judges and audience on Britain’s Got Talent with his dance performance.
Being able to dance is one thing, being able to dance on one leg is beyond exceptional. Motha performed a moving dance routine on one leg and crutches during Saturday’s final audition show.
Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tinioli were moved to tears with the performance. Motha had his amputated aged 10 due to cancer.
The 27-year-old South African, who now lives in London, had to give up his sporting dreams and had learned to dance with the help of his friends. Using a pair of crutches, he danced to Runnin’ (Lose it All) by Naughty Boy, ft. Beyoncé was praised by the audience as the best audition ever.
However, despite earning a standing ovation, the judges couldn’t give Motha a golden buzzer as they had none left. It was the final round of auditions.
The crowd began to chant and boo the judges, demanding that he was given the golden buzzer. The judges bent the rules and gave Motha a group golden buzzer, a first of its kind on the show.
The Golden buzzer grants contestants a place in one of the live semi-finals of the show, meaning they skip past boot camp stage of the competition, giving them a head start.
