The actress announced her mother’s death on September 23, 2021, with fans and colleagues sending in their condolences.
She put together a remembrance party for her mother on Sunday September 25, where she surprisingly shared sex toys as souvenir to attendees. The event was attended by her friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
In a trending video, the actress was seen calling on women in attendance to make do with sex toys. “Help yourself if you don’t have a man. If you know you’re single and proud, let me see your hands”, she said.
Backlash has followed this act on social media, with some people describing Blessing as “being disrespectful to the dead”. Another tweep wrote “this is why no man takes you seriously, you have no self-respect”.
Following the uproar, Blessing responded with a tweet of her own “why is everyone attacking me… y’all are hypocrites.” She said. She also responded on her official Instagram page that “when she went to the streets to share food and water, nobody kuku hear anything…”
