Liam Gallagher @liamgallagher has announced a tour to celebrate 30 years since Oasis’ 1994 debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’.
The tour will include fan favorites from the album including Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, Live Forever, Bring it Down, Whatever and Listen Up. “I’m bouncing around the house to announce the Definitely Maybe tour”, Gallagher said.
“The most important album of the 90s bar none. I wouldn’t be anywhere without it and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together.” In a statement representatives said the singer may also perform other fan favorites that were released during the ‘Definitely Maybe era’ including Sad Song.
The tour will begin in Sheffield on June 2, 2024 and will conclude on June 27. Tickets to the UK and Ireland tour will go on sales 9am on October 20, 2023.
Definitely Maybe was released on Creation Records in August 1994. The album is a landmark record in British music and went straight to No 1 on the UK Albums Chart. During the time, it was the fastest-selling debut album in British music industry.
The album also went on to be certified 8 platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for sales of over 2.4 million units. The album gained success in the United States as well, and was awarded a platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
