Kylian Mbappe Tells PSG He Will Leave Club this Summer

Paris St-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe has told the club that he intends to leave at the end of the season.

According to reports by The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the 25-year-old has formally communicated his decision to the reigning Ligue 1 champions. Although, Mbappe has not stated where he intends to continue his career, there have been rumors linking him to a move to Real Madrid.

The forward has decided not to pick up the additional year in his contract and will leave PSG as a free agent. Both PSG and Mbappe have not made any statements, they are however expected to communicate their decision by the end of the season when exit agreement have been finalized.

Mbappe who clinched the World Cup with France in 2018, is estimated to earn approximately €200 million annually. Mbappe has an impressive record of 243 goals and 93 assists in 290 appearances for PSG.

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen is reportedly on PSG’s list as a potential replacement for Mbappe. Osimhen has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 18 games so far this season.
