Kano University Student, Whitworth Breaks Guinness World Record on Face Painting

A 400-level student of Bayero University of Kano, Collins Whitworth, has broken the current world record of most face painted by an individual in 24 hours.

Whitworth, a civil engineering student of the BUK painted 791 faces in 24 hours on Sunday and is awaiting confirmation from the Guinness World Record. He began his journey to break the existing 700 record, on Saturday around 5:00pm at the new site of the Bayero University Campus in Kano.

According to him, he set out to paint 720 faces, despite the 705 target given by Guinness World Record. Whitworth who is a face painter believes there is more to painting than just coloring which the world needs to know about.

In the paint-a-thon, he sort to paint the world with peaceful colors. To him, painting signifies peace, love and unity around the world.
