Arsenal climbed to the top of the Premier League Table after a commanding 3-0 victory against Brighton on Saturday, with goals from Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard.

The gunners needed this victory to keep pace in the title race after Manchester City dispatched Crystal Palace 4-2 in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Saka opened the scoring streak from the penalty spot, after Gabriel Jesus was fouled in the area. Kai Havertz netted the second goal, his sixth goal in his previous nine Arsenal outings. Leandro Trossard came off the bench to score the third goal, helping the gunners secure maximum points at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton had not lost at home in 14 games, in all competitions dating back to September. Arsenal have now won 10 and draw one, away to Manchester City, of their last 11 league games to put themselves in position for a first Premier League title in 20 years.
